--- Just a few words about Apziņas Parazīti ---

It all started as Project, there was no main idea to create a music or art for sale, for bigger or smaller stages. And till our days, it’s an independent act.
It was experiment with sound, with those small things inside the brain, inside the heart, with feelings, with all the social distortions.
Yap, there still is going around that story, that this is just a part of experimental medicine, using music and elements of the theater as therapy. Imagine, mental hospital patients playing guitar, piano, sing, writing songs, do small 30min. theater plays or 50 minutes plays. About their lives, about how do they see, feel the things, the life, relationships, society.
Imagine, these were the real emotions in place, in some walls, called „room no 38” and „Mūsmājas” (our home) – no special drugs or medications were used, just the empty room with people inside.
Sometimes, really funny, sometimes, it did scary and really deep emotional level, sadness and despair, emptiness, coldness, till first tears, till questions.
Cause it all was so... sick? Could say so. It sounds dark and crazy, avantgarde, schizophrenia even, all those maniacal depressive lyrics, stories, suicide notes, dreamy and gloomy.
And once, we start asking questions about all this – where are You from? Where starts this all? And how long? Where did You get all this dirt, sadness, this bleakness, dark?
And the answer was just – look around, if there have happened the changes outside.
And after, just after when we looked at those pictures, they draw, we still see the same society we live in, maybe, somehow, day by day, we filter information, we see bit through it. We think different. And who knows, who are stronger – they or us, they are sick or we are.

--- Names behind:

There are names, actually, there are faces and stories as we all have them.
The thing i really care about – i would like to know, what is going on in listeners head, heart, what they feel, what they think about this all.
And most important – i would like to know, what is going on those persons brain, behind this music and stories.

Gints Retihs – all the music, live bass, live piano, live voice, noises and distortions, during the record and live shows.
Grx – almost all voices, live screams during the record and live shows, distorted guitars on second cd, dolls and knifes on live shows.
Aldis – cello, vargan, strange instruments, live shows member since 2006
Edyte – experimental photographer, art and layout stuff, stuff member, since we lost Suic.
Tārps – all lyrics and stories, lost since 2005
